Design Technology 

Creative Studies consists of three areas; Food Technology, Product Design and Art & Design. All pupils are taught in rotation on a thirteen week cycle.

All pupils are given the opportunity to develop their creativity, imagination and confidence in these subjects.

The department also runs a residential trip to Cornwall each year which makes visits to;

  • Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth museum.
  • Minack open air theatre.
  • Eden Project.
  • The Maritime museum.
  • Geevor tin mine.
  • Marks Ark.

This is a popular trip and it is the opportunity for staff and pupils to build a long lasting rapport whilst extending their understanding of our artistic and cultural heritage.

Photography Club

Held after school on organised days by Mrs Lansley.
Two pupils, who attend the club, have been selected for the final of 'The Rotary Young Photographer'.
